Back-story: The Dog is owned by a little girl called Laura, and she gets him to play with her dolls.
The Scratches: The sown up scratches all over The Dog’s body is because one day (pre pilot episode) the dog had been stolen by the evil Captain Obvious, who threw The Dog over Laura’s back fence. Unfortunately for the dog, a real dog lived over the fence. And he was a Rottweiler. Laura was so sad when she got the dog back, because he had been torn apart. When her mother sowed him back together, she used a magical needle, so he became real, and now he has lots of wonderful adventures.
The D on his stomach: The D on his stomach, very obviously, stands for The Dog.
The cord in his back: Previously the cord in his back made small woofing noises, but since The Dog has became conscious, the cord has to be pulled every morning by Laura to keep the dog moving.

We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
